When the Hollins family faced eviction from FordHall FArm - thier tenanted organic farm in Shropshire due to thier landlord seeking to sell to developers, legal costs quickly exhausted their limited funds and the future of one of the UK's pioneering organic farms looked bleak.
That was until the farmer's children stepped in, launching a community crowdfunder that captured the local community's imagination — 8,000 people each contributed £50 to collectively buy the land outright, creating 8,000 co-owners overnight. This is ACTionism and collective action at work!
