TS Domestics: Cleaning up their community, one street at a time

When young workers at a family furniture store in Tunstall decided to clean up their community, they sparked a movement that's proving collective action can transform a neighbourhood.

TS Domestics: Cleaning up their community, one street at a time

TS Domestics isn't just a family-run store - it's a force for positive change in Tunstall.

Started by some of the young lads who work in the family store, they're literally getting their hands dirty, organising community clean-up projects and making their streets shine. They're not waiting for someone else to make a difference. They're doing it themselves, inviting others along the way, and proving that collective action can transform a community.

It's simple, direct, and powerful: a local business that believes in taking care of its community.

They're documenting their actions on Instagram, spreading the joy and spirit of getting stuck in and taking action where you live.

They've even set up #MakeTunstallGreatAgain (a tongue-in-cheek play on Trump's Make America Great Again, no doubt), and it's working - with neighbours showing up for neighbours, businesses leading by example, and everyone pitching in to make their place better.

Over the holidays, they even came together with a similar group in London called Looking For Growth (LFG), who are cleaning up the Tube line, scrubbing graffiti off the trains, because they want it to be a cleaner and nicer experience for those travelling, and they are fed up waiting for the Mayor of London to sort it.

This is collective action - it's time to stop waiting for others to fix things - what action will you take today?
