Why we need ACTionism and Activism to end the Genocide in Gaza - what you can do today.

Why we need ACTionism and Activism to end the Genocide in Gaza

ACTionism fills cracks with action where activism shows you the problem – but ending genocide needs both working together.

This week I have been thinking about: why sometimes imperfect action is better than perfect inaction.

Since discovering the idea of ACTionism and setting up this hub, I've always believed that activism identifies and raises awarness about injustice, whilst ACTionism bridges the gap to tangible action. But, right now, watching the genocide continuing to unfold in Gaza, I know that we need every tool available: the awareness that activism brings AND the practical steps that ACTionism provides. This isn't a moment for choosing sides between approaches – it's a moment for combining them with our shared humanity at the centre.

That's what pushed me, after almost 18 years working behind the scenes in social media and content, to step in front of the camera. I rarely do this, – but there was no time to find the "right" person to deliver this message. So in the spirit of ACTionism and all that it has taught me, I made my own video, as a way to help me find people willing to take action together.

As you'll see, I'm not a political expert – just someone who cares deeply about what's happening in our world. I've noticed so many friends staying silent, and I want to believe it's not because they don't care, but because they genuinely don't know what they can do to help. So I made this video

If that's you, this video is for you. This is ACTionism in practice: turning awareness into concrete steps you can take right now.

Ready to ACT?

We think this needs to happen TODAY as the meeting is scheduled for September 18th. Sometimes imperfect action is better than perfect inaction. If I got anything wrong in terms of my understanding of how this works, please let me know.,
