This Friday (30/1) Join our Live Spotlight: Parisa Wright - Greener & Cleaner
Everything starts with a single action - yours could be as easy as joining this Zoom call on Friday with Parisa Wright, founder of Greener & Cleaner.
From that first meetup above a pub to influencing government policy - Parisa Wright's journey with Greener & Cleaner shows what's possible when community action meets strategic thinking. Everything starts with a single action - Yours could be as easy as joining this Zoom call on Friday.
Join Olivia Stamp, Tamasine McCaig and Parisa this Friday, 30th January (1 pm prompt start), for an inspiring and interactive session about turning local action into systemic change.
We'll explore how Parisa's work with Greener & Cleaner has developed from grassroots sustainability into a Community Hub blueprint that she's now hoping to share across England through Government policy - and she's on the lookout for groups who want to test it out!
In this Spotlight, we'll explore:
- Spend time in small groups to help you find one action you can take during the session to move you from paralysis to purpose.
- Hear about Parisa's journey from Human Rights Lawyer through ITV to becoming a key strategic thinker in inclusive and accessible sustainability
- Learn why what started off as a Community Sustainability Hub is now called a Community Hub.
- Discover how putting the Hub next to the McDonald's and public toilets has been key to its success
- Hear how Greener & Cleaner is paving the way for other groups to set up their own Community Hubs
- How you can volunteer to try out the Community hub Blueprint
Whether you're working in community development, wrestling with how to make community action genuinely inclusive, or curious about what systemic change looks like from the ground up, this session will challenge you to consider what's possible when you put people's day-to-day reality at the centre of your work.
