Join us for an inspiring and interactive session with Parisa Wright, founder of Greener & Cleaner, who is building local sustainability and resilience in South East London while developing a Blueprint for systemic change across England.
What started as a meetup above a pub is now helping influence government policy.
In this Spotlight, we'll explore:
- Parisa's journey from Human Rights Lawyer through ITV to becoming a key strategic thinker in inclusive and accessible sustainability
- Why what started off as a Community Sustainability Hub is now called a Community Hub.
- How putting the Hub next to the McDonald's and public toilets has been key to its success
- How Greener & Cleaner is paving the way for other groups to set up their own Community Hubs
Whether you're working in community development, wrestling with how to make community action genuinely inclusive, or curious about what systemic change looks like from the ground up, this session will challenge you to consider what's possible when you put people's day-to-day reality at the centre of your work.
We'll hear from Parisa, and also spend time in small groups to help you find one action you can take during the session to move you from paralysis to purpose.
