Last day to support the Re-Action Collective Crowdfunder

Re-Action Collective are running a £20,000 crowdfunder - and they're nearly there. At the time of writing, they're at £18,810. Just £1,190 to go.

We're proud to support this appeal, and we're asking you to donate what you can to help them close the gap.

What is the Re-Action Collective?

Re-Action is a collective of repairers, resellers, gear-sharers, rental businesses and community crews making outdoor kit last longer - and the outdoors more accessible to everyone. They are also the team behind the movie ACTionism that inspired this project! The money raised will fund members to attend events, run workshops, and get the business coaching they need to sustain and grow their work.

Why does it matter?

The story we've been sold about the outdoors is wrong. That you need shiny, technical, expensive gear just to step outside. That if something breaks, you replace it. It fuels throwaway culture, undermines confidence, and locks people out of nature.

Most people who love the outdoors don't actually buy into this story - they care about their kit and its impact. The problem is they often lack the knowledge and skills to look after it themselves, so they end up buying new when they don't need to. Re-Action exists to change that, filling a gap that mainstream sports brands have largely failed to address.

The challenge this crowdfunder is helping with

The people doing this work—many of them sole traders or volunteers—are undervalued and under-resourced. This crowdfunder will help support community-based repair, resale and sharing services for outdoor gear to combat waste & make the outdoors more accessible.

This isn't about building a company. It's about building a movement. They've proven the concept. Now they need the support to scale it.

Every pound matters right now - and do you really need another cup ofpf over-priced coffee this week?
